screen glitch on shutting down macbook air

Hi, can anybody help with why my new MacBook Air screen glitches like this Scrwhen it shuts down?

If it's brand new you can return for a full refund within 14 days. You also have 90 days of free telephone support. (800) MYAPPLE in US. I'd call and open a ticket. I've seen video glitches during shutdown or startup and they usually don't mean much but why settle for less than perfect on a new Mac.

Thanks. I've run diagnostic test and reset multiple things multiple times with the phone support team but it looks like I might have to take it to a store for a service/return once they reopen. It doesn't affect performance but obviously don't want the problem to get worse over time when I'm our of warranty.

Be sure they will honor a return after the 14 day period. You can also ask for a box to send it back and get a new one.
