Apple id lost phone is locked
I have iphone 7. A new software has been installed and the phone is totally locked. They need the apple id and the password and we totally forgot both since it was an old phone for my mom. Any help?

See if you can recover the ID/password.

Enter the Apple (iCloud) ID and click Forgot Password.
if you/she is the original owner, contact Apple ID Support. Apple Support will need to see the original purchase receipt with the serial number/paperwork.
