Left airpod not producing sound

Okay, I’m dumb. I tried cleaning the grime out of my airpods with a toothpick and most likely pushed dirt into the speaker and now little sound comes out of my airpod. Does this mean its broken or is there still hope? I’ve tried forgetting them from my iphone and still no sound.
