Apple TV buying a season of a show that isn't fully released

If you buy a season of a tv show on apple tv when the season hasn't been fully released yet, do the new episodes that come out go straight to your library because you already bought the season, or do you have to buy the new episodes?

If you buy a season pass, new episodes from it will be covered. If you're buying episodes individually, new ones will be separate.
