FCPX and .vob

Is there any way to import .vob files into FCPX? If you right click on the .vob you get an option to "encode selected video files" which will output and .m4v, but the res gets smaller, ex: 720 x 480 before (.vob) and then 640 x 469 (.m4v) HELP!

I recently performed this operation from a DVD.

Locate the necessary .vob file, I then placed mine on the desktop.

Right click to transcode selected file in the Finder.

Select ProRes and encode.

The file produced will Import to FCP X without issue.

I did notice that the encoding has a vague progress system.

Look for a small spinning thingy in the Task Bar.

There was no visual other than that. Wait and it just finishes when it’s done.
