I thought I had missed a model!

Anyhow do as SravanKra said, although 9/10 it is fixed by the last option - deleting the account from Settings, Passwords and Accounts, then add it back, This time round it should set up the output server again.

I am 69 in June! You're not old while you can still remember your date of birth.

Assuming your email is standard IMAP then deleting the email account on the Mac (Mail, Preferences, Accounts then click the - sign) and then add it back (+ sign then select the correct type of account) it should do the same server refresh.

I only change passwords infrequently but trying to go into settings and retyping the password is not as reliable as delete the account and add it back.
