Screen Sharing - Black Screen Issue

Hi I have the latest version of Catalina but have been experiencing an issue across multiple releases with screen sharing from my iMac to my MacBook Pro.

The problem is when I connect from my iMac to my MacBook via screen sharing the MacBook window will go black and either revert me back to the MacBook account login screen or sometimes stay connected and run for a while before going black again.

Has anyone experienced this issue, or know a fix as I have tried all the SMC/PRAM resets etc but I just cannot find a solution?
