mail

mail blocks and has to forced to stop. When I try to remove mails it seems this is the reason that the program blocks

Hello,

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

Mail>Preferences>Accounts>account>Mailbox Behaviors, what path is Trash Mailbox set to?
