Wifi connectivity

Hi! My iPhone never stays connected to my home Wifi when the phone is inactive (sleeps). I always have to manually re-connect to my home Wifi when I use my phone. In contrast, if I use a family member's Apple ID on my phone, the Wifi connects and stays connected just fine. Any advice would be appreciated.
