Less than month old iPad Pro 11 2020 is bent near camera?

Yesterday I noticed that my less than month old iPad is bent near the camera. It still works fine it seems. I want to straighten it back as carefully as I can. Any suggestions on techniques? Then is there a suggested case to help prevent this?

Speak to Apple and see if they can send you new one cause it's under warranty?

Not likely. Your warranty does not cover accidental damage unless you can prove the bend was there when the device was delivered, or you have AppleCare+ coverage. With the latter there will be a charge for the repair but is is far less than the cost of a new or exchanged iPad

If you have extended AppleCare+, it probably will not matter.

If you want give bending it back a try, but you still may end up with a crease in the back casing and possibly cracking the glass.

Do what you will. Let us know how it all turns out for you.

I suggest contacting/reaching out to Apple Product support and services on this issue.

On the basis of similar reports that have appeared within this Apple Support Community, unless the “bend” was detected at the time of purchase, Apple will not entertain that the bend will have spontaneously occurred- and will therefore classify the issue as damage.

If you have an active AppleCare+ plan, you might be able to claim one of your permitted “accidental damage” events; in this situation, you will pay a flat-rate “excess” to exchange your iPad for a same-model refurbished model. Outside of AppleCare, Apple might offer a chargeable exchange for a refurb device; if your damage qualities, costs are typically reported to be about 60% of the “as new” price.

You would be ill-advised to attempt self-repair of the physical damage. You may make matters worse - and potentially loose any goodwill from Apple.

Thanks to you and everyone else. The original premise of my question however was if it can bend one way it can bend back. Carefully of course, maybe everyone else that has ever had a bent iPad gave up but I wanted to at least try to fix it.

If it costs $49 either way why not try and fix it first?
