Well, Maria, if your iPhone charges using the charger (with its cable) on a wall socket, your iPhone is okay.

If, using the same cable AND choosing a different USB port on your MacBook (try all the USB ports) the iPhone doesn't charge, the problem is related to your MacBook.

Should be this case, it's not a problem related to the iPhone, it is related to the port USB on your MacBook.

Try using a different USB port.

Uhm, when this happens to me (on an old SE), most of the times it's dust in the socket/plug.

To clean it if you happen to need it, use some non-metal not-too-hard thingy, like a wooden toothpick or a match or something similar and carefully "scratch" the dust out...

It's probably the cable. Try another one.

Try turning on the phone, then plugging it in.
