Stuck on welcome to mail page

When I open mail it goes to the welcome to mail page. I can not get past this page to check mail. This happened out of the blue about four days ago on my iPad (no issues on my iPhone though!)

Hello,

Try removing your Mail account from Settings > Passwords & Accounts then re-add it.
