Safari search suggestions. Again.

I already read an earlier post of someone having this same issue. Words based on whatever webpage youre viewing will randomly take up space above your keyboard and seem to just be chosen almost at random.

After reading the other post, a user "rysz" did a terrible job at helping the asker. flat out gave up and stopped responding. Anyways, yes i have combed through every single setting in the settings app and it took a long time. they are still there. the only way to get rid of them is to use private browsing, but then im not logged into websites and autofill data wont work. Apple just seems to have gone downhill after ios 7. sad

whatevenisthis9374,

Thanks for getting back to us and for clarifying. The feature you're referring to is, predictive text: Use predictive text on iPhone As you type, you'll see choices for words and phrases you'd probably type next, based on your previous conversations, writing style, and even websites you visit in Safari.

You have the option to turn this feature off in Settings > General > Keyboard > Predictive. Also, you can provide feedback to Apple about this feature through this link here: Product Feedback - Apple

Cheers.

Hi whatevenisthis9374,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. If I'm understanding correctly, you'd like to turn off, "Safari Suggestions" on your iPhone.

Having the ability to control how you search in Safari is important and I'll be happy to help.

You have the option to turn off, Safari Suggestions on your iPhone by going to Settings > Safari > Safari Suggestions. That information, along with more details is available in this article: Siri Suggestions, Search & Privacy Specifically the section at the bottom that says, "You have choice and control."

If I misunderstood your question, please provide us additional details to gain a better understanding. That way we can provide you the best support.

Kind regards.
