After updates keyboard and mouse not working properly

A little over 24 hours ago my MacBook Air updated overnight. Ever since the mouse is acting erratically, often disappearing, and several letters on the keyboard aren't functioning.

try these two; these are free counter measures. May work.

SMC reset https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

Zap pram https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063
