I recently bought an iPad 7th gen not even a week ago and when I plug in the charger into the iPad it’s kinda of stiff to do so. It also takes forever to charge completely. Is it defective? Like there is warranty on the ipad

Can you read on the button of the Apple power/charging block if it is the 10 or 12W power block?
The 10W power block would fully charge that iPad in 6 hours, or so.
The 12W power block will fully charge that iPad between 4-5 hours.
Also, I suggest contacting/reaching out to Apple Product support and services.
