Screensaver on Catalina 10.15 shows no source menu

Can someone explain this? The screensaver window shows a black screen with no Source menu below it... and I have one of the native photo-based screen saver selected. The first photo is that of my Mom's I captured while doing a remote desktop assistance. The second photo is my computer showing what it SHOULD look like. Any ideas?

The problem (my Mom's computer - iMac purchased 2017):

Versus what it should look like (my computer):

You could try restarting in Safe Mode then restart normally…

If that doesn't work, you could try creating a new user account and see if it has the same problem.

Other than that, you could try reinstalling Catalina.
