Apple watch 4 black bar on start-up logo

About 1 time in 10, I get this when I start up my watch; the rest of the time it's the regular white apple logo. It eventually goes away on its own, though the start up process seems slower after this. I'm sure this has some clever meaning, but I can't seem to locate it. Thoughts? Watch is about 6 months old.

Hi man-with-no-plan,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I see that you’re having an issue with your Apple Watch. Once in a while, it will start up with an Apple Logo with a bar on it. I want to help. If you have not yet done so, update your iPhone and Apple Watch to the latest compatible software versions, starting with your iPhone. It is a good practice to back up your iPhone before updating.
