can I use a credit card to rent movies on Apple TV instead of an Apple gift card?

Thank you. I figured this out: at bottom of iTunes home page click on Apple ID. Under manage payments add a credit card. There you can see both the amount left on the Apple gift card and the credit card listed. Apple will use the gift card money up before using the credit card. I needed some basic instruction on this I guess.
