homekit hub

Would it be better to use the Apple TV as the HomeKit hub or an iMac? I have both and was wondering if there's any advantage (or not) to using one or the other?

The iMac is not supported for that role. The HomeKit home hub should be one of Apple TV, iPad, or HomePod.
