Photos iCloud

I have 2TB icloud, of which my photos use 230gb. But photos are still using 5GB on my ipad, can I reduce this?

I don’t think you will

be able to reduce it much further as with the amount of pictures you have, the low resolution previews will take up every bit of the 5gb you are still seeing.
