i have connected my air pods to my phone but have not used them for a few days. Unfiortunately, i cant find them now and tried using the find my iphone app but they are not showing up to track! am i "S-O- L?"

For future reference, how do I get them to stay on the “find my iPhone” App?
They will be on Find My iPhone for a while after you have them paired to the iPhone.
