What is this icon on the lower right that looks like a clock? Why is it there ? When i tap it, it takes me to a new browser asking me to sign in again - which I just did on the page the icon is on.
Its not a clock. Its the Safari icon. Its there if you want to open the website you are viewing directly in the Safari browser, rather than wherever it is you are viewing it.
Whatever app you used would not share the login session with Safari so would require you to login again.
The browsers in some apps while using the same engine as Safari, do not share the cookies and login data out to Safari when you select it.
Thx - I thought maybe that was it but I could not figure out
I used it to log in at another site - once logged in there I opened safari from the safari app icon and navigated to the same site - where it asked me to sign in - yet I was already signed in thru that icon I first wrote about.
If they're both safari, why does it not know they are both safari?
