Ryane,

Thank you, you helped me solve the problem.

The issue was on my pc. There were no updates for iTunes. This problem has happened before, but it is years ago.

I had changed my Apple ID, I had got rid of a couple of old Windows pcs associated with the ID, so I guess thhis was the cause. Following a Windows reboot iTunes is working fine.

Many thanks,

Dave

Hello DaveeH.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I understand that the iTunes login screen keeps reappearing. You would like to know the reason. I’m happy to help.

Is this the first time this has happened? Have you recently made any changes to your Apple ID? Do you have any security software installed, such as antivirus protection?

Please check for any updates on your computer and install them. Once installed, please restart your computer. Do you still get prompted to login to iTunes?

Please make sure iTunes is using the latest update. Here’s how to update iTunes: Update iTunes on PC - Apple Support

Please let me know the results.

Take care.
