Hi there, rcf8828. I'd like to help you but I don't understand your question. Maybe it's me. If you go to the large Apple icon at the top left of your screen, and then click on "About this Mac" it will give you a rough model number. The exact model number should be on the outer case of your macBook Pro somewhere. could you post it here ? Catalina has certain requirements. Here they are

if your MacBook Pro meets those requirements then you can upgrade it to Catalina

if it doesn't , then you can't
