ipad is disabled- need to sign in

I forgot my passcode. Now - when i turn it on is comes up ipad is disabled. Press home to unlock. I can't get it to unlock for me to attempt to log in.

Try this - If you’ve forgotten the passcode on your iPad, or your iPad is disabled – Apple Support
