IPad Diagnostic

So, it’s been stuck on the Apple logo page and I did a hard reset. Called Apple to get steps, and they were steps I already tried. It’s now ok the charger, so I kept doing the hard reset while it’s on the charger and it then went into restore mode.

I presume that you’re looking for some direction as to what you should do next.


If your device indicates that it is in restore mode, you’ll need to connect to either a PC (with iTunes installed) or a Mac (with iTunes or Finder - as appropriate to the installed version of MacOS):

If iPad isn’t responding, do one of the following:


  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On an iPad with Face ID: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
