I purchased an app by mistake today and it’s pending and I want to refund it

You cannot undo a purchase, you can try requesting a refund.
Request a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple - Apple Support
Then all that you can do is try again by contacting Apple Support. Bear in mind that purchases in the App Store are all sales are final unless there is an issue with the app. Making a purchase by mistake doesn't fall within the parameters of qualifying for a refund.
