Changing Apple ID

If I sign in to Apple and change my APPLE ID through the online process will all prior movies, tv shows, music, subsriptions and apps purchased be re-associated to my new ID?

If you do a name change, you should retain access to all your data and prior purchases. Note the restrictions in the article.
