I'm using an APC Back UPS for my iMac 27. The unit itself is fine, works great, lasts a long time. However, their Powerchute software which will save and safely shut down the system if there's a prolonged outage isn't compatible with our Apple systems. Is there something else out there for us creatives that would protect our systems?
Uninstall "Powerchute," and use the Energy Save preferences available on your computer. Although a user of APC UPS units for over 8 years, I have never used the APC software. Set when your Mac shuts down when using a UPS - Apple Support
