Crack in the USB

Hi there.

Hope you are all well. I bought an iPhone 7 from Melbourne in 2019 and now I live in India. Due to COVID-19, we are under a lockdown. USB of phone has developed a small crack. But I can't purchase a new one now due to a lockdown. I have used a cellotape so that the crack doesn't get worse. I am also attaching a pic here. Can the crack make my charger dangerous? If not, then I will continue using it and then when the lockdown gets lifted, I can purchase one. Right now, no outsiders are allowed in the apartment, so can't order online. And the apple store is quite far from my home. Please help me.
