So Quick Start *doesn't* actually transfer anything? It doesn't transfer any of my apps, music, books, shows, or data? This says I have to use iCloud backup -- I don't use iCloud; I backup my phone locally to my own PC.
I'm trying to transfer my data from my old iPhone to my new one. The Quick Start article (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210216) is entirely a bait-and-switch. It's titled, "Use Quick Start to transfer data to a new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch," but after 11 steps worth of transferring, it finishes by saying you might need to complete a few more steps to finish the process. Those "few more steps", according to the linked article (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT209568) are (1) re-downloading all of my mail, contacts and calendars, (2) resetting the Notifications settings for all of my apps; (3) redownloading all of my apps, music, movies, books, and in-app purchases; (4) re-pairing all of my Bluetooth devices; (5) adding cards back into Apple Pay; (6) renewing all of my app subscriptions.....in other words, manually putting everything onto the new phone.
If I have to do all of this, what good is Quick Start -- it doesn't sound like Quick Start transfers anything. All of the data is *already* on my old Phone; is there any way to transfer ALL of it -- apps, music, books, photos, movies, calendar, contacts, etc.?
