Can you upload a m4v or a mp4 to icloud?

I've got home made movies on DVD and I'll like to upload them to my iCloud. I have converted them to m4v and to mp4 (using easefab) and tried to move them onto my icloud photo's (accessed through the web). It gives me the pop up window:

"There was a problem uploading 1 file. Only files in JPEG format can be uploaded"

Do you know how I could go about uploading the DVD's to my iCloud?
