Have choices for Sceen Capture destination

I know that Screen Capture (Shift-Command 4) uses Desktop as its default destination, and I know that I can use Terminal to change that default. But ... is it possible to set up choices for different locations? In other words, during a certain workflow, I want the screen-caps to land on the Desktop. In other situations, I want them to go directly into certain apps.

Any way to give myself that choice without having to go to Terminal every time I want to change the destination?
