I've recently found lots of odd things going on in my Mac, some were apparently symptoms of malware, so I researched for Malware removal websites and found Malwarebytes. I just wanted to know if this was safe, or a scam or another potential malware?

Yes, it is safe. However unless you have reason to think you downloaded some malware there is no reason to have it installed. Why are you interested in Malwarebytes?
