Hi - I have a Microsoft surface pro 2 for work that I want to connect to my 27-inch mac monitor with thunderbolt port. Is this possible and if so, what adapter do I need? A quick search online didn't show anything readily apparent. Thanks for the help!
The Apple Thunderbolt display won't work with a computer that does not have Thunderbolt. There are no adapters, cables, or converters that will help. The display's plug will fit Mini DisplayPort but the signals are different.
Target Display Mode only works with a limited number of iMac models as the host display.
Plus both computers must have either Thunderbolt or Mini DisplayPort connections.

Ah' sorry, it's an Apple Display and not a 27" iMac.
I do not have either of those to test, but I would try a Mini DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort cable.
