Is it possible to make an app for personal instead of putting in in the App Store? I’m not looking to sell the app I just want to make it and put it in my phone. What options are available?

You can do it via Xcode. You have to connect your iPhone to Xcode through lightening-USB C jack.
After the connection, just build and run your own project.
However if you want to allow the app to others, App Store submission must be required.
Get a free developers account and get Xcode
Thanks Keith I did that but when I installed the app on my phone it seemed like it only lasted for about wo weeks and it quit working. Is this normal?
Is it possible to have it remain on my phone for my personal use?
Sorry for all the questions. Is there a place I can go to read about this without having to ask so many questions.

You can pay for a developer account and it will remain on your phone for longer, but eventually even a developer app will need to be rebuilt and reinstalled. It would have to be in the App Store for a permanent installation.
