Trouble linking TV provider

I tried to log into my directv app, like I've been using for a year and I had to re-enter my password. Now I am getting an error message, "Sign In Error. That user ID doesn't seem to work here. Please sign in with a different ID. Care Code: 205.4". This is the same user ID I have always used. I have unlinked and tried again. I have removed the app and re-installed. I have called directv and confirmed my user name. I can get on the computer and login with this same ID. What is going on?

So frustrating. I went through absolutely everything with Directv. It works on the computer and my sons smart tv. It’s my Apple TV, IPhone X, and IPad that I get the error message on. Something is wrong with linking Directv as tv provider on Apple devices. 3 hours on the both Apple and Directv with no resolution. I’m not an IT guy but I’ve changed my password, un-installed and re-installed apps enough times to know there’s a disconnect between directv and Apple. I can log into individual network apps, not link my tv provider, and log into directly that way. But as soon as I try to link my tv provider, I get Apple’s care code error message.
