You want to install Mojave—

Typically you are always better off running the most current macOS your machine will allow—especially for the built in security features.

It never pays to get too far behind in the software or hardware—it just makes it more difficult to advance the next time you are forced to upgrade. Stay current unless there is some compelling reason.

If you have another Mac running macOS Mojave or later, you can install the items. They will then appear as Purchased on your MacBook Pro, and if you try to download them from your Purchased library, you may be given an option to install an older version.

If you do not have another Mac, or it does not give the option of an older version, you will need to update to macOS Mojave or macOS Catalina in order to install them onto your MacBook Pro.
