After Catalina download my Canon MC922 connects to MacBook Pro but only from top tray. On print option the photo size is 3.73 - 4” and has border even if borderless requested. Printer is using Bonjour Multifunction (AirPrint) not Canon IJ Network (Canon MX920 series). iPhone prints correctly as well as spouses PC.

Also check the settings on the printer itself. Many times you can set a default tray on the printer using the printer's control menus. Maybe you need to reset the printer to factory defaults (sometimes necessary if settings become corrupted).
When adding the printer you should use the Air Print option if it is an option.

Just to clarify when I print a 8.5 x 11 it prints from the top 4x6 tray on 4x6 paper.
When I went to add MX920 series I saw that original said Bonjour Multifunction and the new download Canon IJ Network. From what I have read the Bonjour is Apple and Canon IJ is Canon download. I have not re-added printer yet or created a new user account.
Have you tried deleting and re-adding the printer?
Try creating a new user account to see if you have the same issue printing.
