iMac mid 2010 Hooking up a monitor

iMac mid 2010 I need to hook up another monitor but I only have the firewall 800 port can this be done? Thank you

There is a Mini DisplayPort for connecting a monitor.

iMac 21.5” mid 2010 and iMac 27” mid 2010 support one Mini DisplayPort output port. Use that?

Past the mDP, no good options here if you need a second port.

I’m not aware of FireWire graphics display support.

Nor any monitors that accept FireWire input source.

DV was possible, but approximately nobody uses that path now.

FireWire is ~800 Gbps, which is too low for what are now common resolutions and refresh rates.

There are USB 2.0 adapters that might work (which is even lower than FW800),
