Does Apple Pay charge more tax?

Does apple pay charge more tax? I wanted to purchase something that cost 285 and when I went to check out the taxes was 30$ but when i went to go check out via the site it was only 23$ in tax so what is about to charge me more?(pictures if you dont understand or need proof

Apple Pay doesn't charge tax. Sales tax is based on delivery location and varies by location within California. I suspect that Best Buy may have obtained different information about your location between the first screen and the second one. The first is using a 10.5% rate and the second an 8.1% rate and you likely know what rate you normally pay and which is correct (if either). You should contact Best Buy if they are not charging the correct sales tax.
