I keep trying to change my desktop picture but it won't change from the Mojave Night one. Can anyone help me? I want it changed to a picture I have. It won't change and I've tried every way I could think of to change it.

What have you already tried? Have you tried to select the photo in Photos and use the command "Share > Set Desktop Picture"? Can you view the photo you want to use as your Desktop Picture in Photos enlarged?
Have you perhaps created more than one desktop ? Then switch between desktops and check all Desktops, if you changed the Desktop picture of a different desktop then you wanted.
