I am having CarPlay volume issues after updating my iPhone X to 13.4.1. When phone is connected, whether car play is active or not my cars volume controls only adjust prompt volume and not actual audio volume. Is any one seeing this and is there a fix??

Go in to Waze settings and disable Audio Player. This resolved volume issues on a Sony XRV-AX1000 head unit.
Good call, this worked for mine. I just made a call then instantly hung up and the regular volume control worked fine again. Thank you!
Deleting Waze app work for me too.
Deleting Waze instantly fixed this problem, mind blown. Thanks for the suggestion
I JUST deleted Waze and the audio was fixed immediately!
@Reyesc_9, do you happen to have Waze installed? If so, is audio disabled?
You can also make a phone call and when you hang up it should return the volume back to normal. I discovered this works for me by accident. This will allow you to keep Waze.

Basic troubleshooting steps will not resolve this issue. Many users are having this problem. Any ETA on a fix for this?
Same here, but I deleted Waze as well and it fixed it immediately. Idk what it was, but I’ll check if I can use Waze again.
Running IOS 13.5 Beta on IPhone X. Same issue adjusting volume. Even after making a call, the features don’t work as they should. Volume is only adjusted on CarPlay but no longer on the vehicle built in radio system.
This is more widespread than Waze. I don’t even have Waze installed and I’m getting the stuck on prompt volume. In fact I’ve found that when I make a call and it ends the prompt volume comes on and doesn’t go away.
I have the same issue. Does anyone know if apply plans on pushing an update soon to correct the issue? I have to go through a military gate to get to my house and the other day music was blasting and I couldn’t turn the volume down, until I realized I could just hit the power button to turn it off.
