I hesitate to move from Yosemite to El Capitan because I need to preserve full function of Adobe CS4 on my Mac Pro (2009) and am not confident that it will run after the upgrade. Would appreciate feedback from anyone who has made this transition.

Have a look at Roaring apps to see which elements of the CS4 suite are compatible or not.
Use the Options button to select which OS's you would like to see,
enter Adobe CS4 in the Search field.

From what I understand Adobe CS4 is not compatible with macOS 10.11 El Capitan.
Have any users of Adobe CS4 made this upgrade successfully?
