I am trying to install a software programe from land rover for map updates, but the software programe will not run. has anyone had problems with this program its called incontrol touch pro download, I run Kaspersky internet security on my Mac, my Mac software is macOS Catalina 10.15.4

Why do you want to cause your Mac so much harm? What has it done to you to deserve that torture?
I tried to find InControl download on Land Rover's website, and that appears to be an iPhone app, not a macOS app.
Uninstall Kaspersky.
What happens when you try to install it?
How is it delivered to your Mac? Package installer, Disk Image, ?
Does it install ok, but not run? What errors do you get when you try to install or open the app?

There is indeed a Land Rover app for the iPhone, the software I mentioned is only required to be downloaded once and afterwards when new maps are available they can be downloaded automatically to a usb stick..
As this is the first time I am using this map update feature, I am being requested to download a software program on my Mac machine, the download is called MapDownloader_installer_mac_offline.app. the size is 44.9M. When the program tries to run I get the following error message : “MapDownloader_installer_mac_offline” will damage your computer. You should uninstall Kaspersky. Macs do not need antivirus/security programs and they cause nothing but headaches. There is another post here about the Land Rover software. I forget where exactly but it's recent.

have tried your suggestion but same result, I have escalated this issue with Land Rover technical department, I will let the community know what the outcome is in case this issue has affected any other users, this RR is a 2020 model
