Hi, I had about 30 playlists in my Music player. Today they are all missing. Just the playlistd, the music is still there. What happened to them? Is there any way to restore the playlists without restoring the entire system from backup?
I don't subscribe to Apple Music. I am on Catalina 10.15.4 and Music version 1.0.4.104.

thanks for replying. I double checked. They aren't there. The lists that are delivered with the software are there, "classical" "recently played" and "top 25 most played" but that is it.
Thanks. I just tried this. The most recent itl file is from 10/26/18 in the Previous folder. This doesn't seem to have done anything.
It has been months since I've upgraded to Catalina.
What about the iTunes Library.itl file in the old iTunes folder? Catalina would have imported that when you updated, but it would have been left in place untouched since then.

That's what I tried. That didn't work. The file was from 2018 so should have worked. Not sure what I did wrong.
Moot point: I restored from backup. I couldn't wait anymore. What a pain.
I still don't know how this happened. My cat sits on my Mac occasionally, but I can't see how he could have deleted 30 or so different playlists.
Cats are clever like that. When I had a cat I set my computer to lock after 1 or 2 minutes to avoid feline interference.
