You need to understand the terms of the warranty -> https://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/. A warranty covers defects in manufacturing. It doesn’t cover things you do that break your device (insurance might cover such damage). So in your case, you are NOT getting a warranty replacement device. You are paying to exchange your damaged device for a properly functional one in what is called an out of warranty exchange.
Once you’ve completed the out of warranty exchange, your replacement device will reinstate the remainder of your original warranty or be covered for 90 days, whichever is longer.

The warranty does not cover accidental damage. It only covers defects in manufacturing and materials.
The warranty doesn't cover your car when you run it into a tree, either. That's what insurance is for.
T-Mobile has nothing to do with your warranty. If you have some type of insurance through T-Mobile that is something through them. But as you have been told, screen damage is not a warranty issue and is not covered by the warranty. You have to pay for that. No warranty covers screen breakage, so going to a new dealer is not going to change that.

We understand that. Your warranty does not cover accidental damage. The drop and damage voided your warranty.
