I changed my apple id which was an old email address and now I think i have 2 accounts which I dont want. How to I join them?
Apart from phone settings and itunes what else is the apple id account for? Is it for google and you tube or is that another system

You only need one Apple ID.
Content from one Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.
Apple ID are for all Apple services, iTunes/App/Books stores, iMessages, FaceTime, iCloud, ....
