iMac Web Search Cache?

When my friends do a search for my website, the result includes my websites new meta-description. When I do the same search, I see the old meta-description. How do I force my browser to show me the new meta-description?


I've cleared Safari's all history, removed all websites under the manage website tab of Safari's Search preference tab, changed my browsers search engine several times all to no avail. I've had the same results using internet explorer. My search still shows the old m-d.


Since everyone I ask sees the new m-d, and I see the old one, something else must be remembering this previously searched result and keeps showing it to me. Any ideas on how to reset this?

Try Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test. You can also try Safari/Preferences/Privacy/Mange Website Data and delete the cookies from the site.

Thanks for that tip, I forgot to mention that I previously tried that too. Same results though, the old m-d still shows. BTW, even though I've taken all those measures to erase my search and browser history, the hyperlink for my websites search result shows in a different color, as if it's remembering that I had previously clicked on it. There must be somewhere else that this is being remembered.
