Which RAM memory cards should i buy?

Hello all,

I have an iMac Retina 5K, 27-inch, late 2015 and only have 8gb 1867 MHz DDR3 memory (plus a 1TB hard drive built in). So need more RAM to get the speed back up again (it's going VERY slowly now with just chrome and iTunes open these days).

I want to start using big programs like garageband and then Logic etc so am thinking getting two 4gb slots to get it up to 16GB.

I'm wary of the spec requirements and it's a bit of a minefield, so can anyone recommend the right SO-DIMMS to buy?

On here the support suggests:

Use Small Outline Dual Inline Memory Modules (SO-DIMM) that meet all of these criteria:

  • PC3-14900
  • Unbuffered
  • Nonparity
  • 204-pin
  • 1867MHz DDR3 SDRAM

Finding the PC3-14900 seems to be the trickiest bit - any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Sam

Thanks for the quick reply! I was rather hasty and have just ordered the following, which claims to be suitable for my exact iMac - the spec matches up (I think!) to the spec on the Apple website.

Do you think these two i bought (2 x 8GB) are suitable? If not I can just cancel the order. Thanks!
